This company started as a German-American joint venture in 1962 to work on power conversion equipment for naval installations. There have been many ownership changes since then – MagneTek owned them for a while, then became part of L3 Communications Marine Systems International, and they are now part of Wartsila Corporation – but their focus on military applications has remained a constant. The one important exception is commercial aviation, and that's where EAI comes in: we look after the static inverters and converters used on Airbus.
Other important products are power supplies, static transfer switches, transformers and power conditioning equipment.
